VISITOR REGULATION OF THE NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF NAPLES
The MANN is glad to welcome you! Our work is constantly aimed at making your visit an enjoyable, safe and inspiring experience, but we need your help too!
Here you find some simple rules that all our guests agree to read and abide by, in order to contribute to preserve the premises and the artworks, while guaranteeing everyone’s wellbeing.
I – ADMISSION: TIMING AND PROCEDURES
Welcoming our visitors is a main objective: properly managing the flow of people is essential to reduce waiting times and prevent overcrowding of museum spaces.
Scheduling and booking
You can purchase your ticket at our ticket office, although we recommend buying it online in advance, without extra fee and choosing your preferred time slot. If you intend to visit the museum with a tour or a school group (any group of 10 to 30 persons visiting the Museum together), it is always necessary to buy tickets in advance on our website, even when a group is entitled to free entry. Before buying the ticket, we suggest checking our website for gallery opening hours and staying updated on any temporary closures or artworks currently off-display due to loans or restoration. Upon arrival, it is always advisable to ask our staff or look for notices at the ticket office, regarding any unscheduled changes to gallery opening times.
Visiting times
The time slot selected during online purchase allows us to prepare effectively for your arrival; we therefore look forward to welcoming you during your scheduled time. Please remember that, if you choose to purchase your ticket on-site, we cannot guarantee quick entry. Once inside, you are free to enjoy the Museum for as long as you wish. Please note, however, that galleries closing operations begin half an hour before closing time; we appreciate your cooperation in making your way to the exit calmly and following the instructions of our staff.
Ticket validity
The ticket is valid for a single entry to the Museum and cannot be reused. It includes access to the permanent collections open to the public and to temporary exhibitions, unless otherwise stated. Once purchased, the admission ticket cannot be cancelled or refunded. Any requests for changes, provided they are duly justified, may be submitted in accordance with the procedures indicated at the time of purchase.
