Celebrating the festivity of Easter is again the right moment to visit the permanent collections of the Museum and the new temporary exhibition Parthenope. The Siren and the city

On Easter 5 April 2026 the museum will be open for free.

On Easter Monday 6 April 2026 the museum will be regularly open with the ordinary entrance ticket.

Do not miss the extraordinary exhibition dedicated to the long-standing relationship between the Siren Parthenope and the city of Naples, spanning history, myth, archaeology, and cultural anthropology, from the first Greek settlement on the promontory of Pizzofalcone to the street art of contemporary Naples.

The exhibition is introduced by a site-specific work in the entrance hall of the museum, by the artist Francisco Bosoletti, focused on the Siren Parthenope’s suicidal dive, then it continues in the rooms on the third floor of the museum building.

In addition to the schedule of open rooms, we inform visitors that, on the occasion of the free entry for all, the Secret Cabinet, the Egyptian and the Magna Graecia collection are closed to the public for security reasons.

Free tickets cannot be booked in advance, but they can be picked up the same day at the ticket office.

The picture in the poster shows the Medal, made by Domenico Perger (1765-1836), commemorating the return of King Ferdinand IV to the throne of Naples, with the personification of Sebethos river reclining and, in the background, a Siren swimming in the sea.
