Enjoy the visit to the new temporary exhibition: Recovered treasures: stories of crimes and smuggled relics, that reveals the dynamics underpinning the illicit trade in cultural objects and the irreversible damage suffered by heritage. On display is an extraordinarily heterogeneous selection of about 600 artefacts, from the Archaic Age to the Middle Ages, from Southern Italy and beyond: pottery, bronze objects, figurative terracottas, marble decorations, underwater finds and Greek, Roman and medieval coins.
The temporary exhibitions Recording the excavations: Pompeii in the publication projects during the Kingdom 1740–1850 and From Pietro Fabris to Vincenzo Gemito. New acquisitions of the MANN are also still on display in the adjacent room 95.
