The Australian film director Alex Proyas (I, robot) has chosen to tell the epic stories of Egyptian gods on the big screen.
The leading actor of the film is the cruel God of Darkness Set (Gerald Butler), who has usurped the throne making the Empire, once peaceful and prosperous, fall into chaos.
The survival of the human race is in danger, but a young heroic man will call the powerful God Horus for help and set out on a journey to save the world and his great love. An epic fight against Set and his followers will drive gods and mortals to the hereafter, putting their courage to a hard test.
The cast includes Nikolaj Coster Waldau (Jamie Lannister in Game of Thrones), Abbey Lee, Courtney Eaton, Brenton Thwaites and Geoffrey Rush.
In order to discover the world of Ancient Egypt, a new exhibition entitled “Egypt Naples. From the Orient” and included in the project “Egypt Pompeii”, will be inaugurated at the MANN from June 29th.
On this occasion, a room will be inaugurated on the second floor of the building and it will house archeological records of the cult of Isis in Campania and of other oriental religions with which the Roman world came into contact.
