Fruit in Pompeian paintings – on July 28th

On July 28th, at 7.00 p.m., the Mann will host the lecture “Fruit in Pompeian paintings” (La frutta nelle pitture pompeiane) within the event “Giovedì sera al MANN. Le Arti in giardino tra mito e natura”.

Mr Paolo Giulierini, Director of the Museum, with the collaboration of the archeologist Fiorenza Grasso and Mr Alvaro Standardi, teacher at the University of Perugia, will lead the public to the discovery of the role and the importance of fruit in Pompeian paintings.

Food will be not only the protagonist of the speakers’ speeches, but also of the tasting which will be offered to the audience after the lecture.

Admission to the Museum from 7.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m.
