“I inherited a Museum!”
Curated by Coopculture with the coordination of the Education Service
A themed visit to the patrimony left by the Bourbons to the inhabitants of Naples and the world. The history of the building, the choice of the places, the project of a great forge of culture where the Cabinet for the study of arts, drawing, restoration had to reside. The carrying out of the project of a Museum containing the patrimony received by Charles III from his mother, Elizabeth Farnese, and the results of the discoveries in the Vesuvian areas and in the rest of the Reign. What has come to us about this project and what are the future prospects to confirm and improve it in the use and communication. The history of the Museum as a place of memory, preservation, education in beauty and value of the vestiges of the past enhances the cultural potential that it can offer to the future generations.
