The world of Art rallies to sustain the regions damaged by the earthquake which has affected Lazio, Umbria and Marche on August 24th last. “All the takings of the museums of August 28th shall be earmarked for the territories devastated by the earthquake” has stated the Minister for Arts and Culture and Tourism, Dario Franceschini, inviting all Italian people to “go to the museums as a gesture of solidarity with the populations involved in the seism.
Thanks to this first special measure – which is added to those normally provided and to the further measures that the Government will take – the MIBACT sets aside the takings of the museums and archeological areas of August 28th for interventions in the cultural heritage damaged by the earthquake.
