Pompeii: the story of the eruption of Vesuvius on the big screen

Set in 79 AD, the film “Pompeii” tells the story of Milos (Kit Harington – Jon Snow in the Game of Thrones), a slave become an unbeatable gladiator who finds himself fighting against time to save the woman he loves, Cassia (Emily Browning), a rich merchant’s daughter promised in marriage to a corrupt Roman senator.

But the eruption of Vesuvius upsets the life of Milos and of all the inhabitants of Pompeii: Milos will have to succeed in leaving the arena and saving Cassia before lava covers the whole town.

What remains of the Ancient Pompeii today? How was Pompeii before the eruption of Vesuvius? In order to satisfy all curious people, inside the Museum it is possible to observe the model of Pompeii, besides a large number of archeological records found after the eruption.
