After the colossal of 1959, Ben Hur (Jack Huston) returns to the big screen; it is the story of a prince who is wrongly charged with treason by his adopted brother Messala (Toby Kebbell), a Roman army officer.
Deprived of his title and separated from his family and from the woman he loves (Nazanin Boniadi), Ben Hur is forced into slavery. After spending several years at the sea, the ex-Prince comes back to his country to seek revenge, but he finds redemption.
The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov (“Wanted”) and written by Keith Clarke (“The Way Back”) and John Ridley (“12 Years A Slave”).
